Entrants are eligible to win in two categories:
- Reader’s Choice, as reflected in votes from readers of thenovelette.com (each voter can vote exactly once per story ; no registration is required to vote).
- Editor’s Choice, selected by the editors and guest judge at thenovelette.com.
